Advocacy on the outside: Advancing support for system‐impacted students through grassroots leadership

Community College Reentry Programs (CCRPs) are campus-based programs that serve formerly incarcerated students by providing targeted services attuned to their needs. Currently, there 62 community colleges in California have CCRPs. While emerging research has begun examine the experiences of these programs, little is known about staff who lead them. This study uses a grassroots leadership perspective how CCRP for organizational change. Through presentation two case narratives CCRPs, I show reform efforts towards advancing justice and equity on campus community. My findings implications strengthening aid better supporting staff.
